Hey guys, doing a little searchin on .org and came across this part number for a 650cc Kawasaki watercraft piston. By using one of the pistons from this twin cylinder machine you can achieve a 76mm (295cc) big bore for your 84/85 Tecate. Dunno bout the 86/86?

549M07600 from Wiseco.

92 bucks for the piston not including rings, circlips and piston pin.

Not sure but I'm guessing you use the watercraft rings, piston pin, wrist pin and circlips?

Anyone know if I would need any machining of the lower cases to fit the larger piston or would I just need it bored?

I plan on doing this to my spare cylinder that has also been sleeved, 295cc would be a wild ride with a stock length arm lol but I think I can handle it. Besides I'll need it to keep up with my buddy who is adding a pipe and camming his Raptor.

That's the piston Q&E uses for the bigbore kit. I just installed one and haven't run her yet. Just so you know, you don't need to mess with the cases, but you do need to shave off some of the piston skirt. he also had to modify the piston on the intake side. I need to find an extended swinger soon, anyone have a line on one? Anyone willing to let me copy theirs? help....

How much material did he have to remove from the piston skirt and why did he mod the piston on the intake side? Did you use the seadoo wrist pin and bearings on the Tecate rod?
