i just rebuilt my first motor. wasn't too bad. good learning experience for next time though. first off www.servicehonda.com will be your BEST friend. Their prices are the best anywere and shipping is always like 7 bux. I needed an oversize piston and rings, dont buy a cheap brand. a gasket set, u should get a new cam chain, bore job and valve job (valve seals). I needed a new cam and bearing, you wont know till u get in there, it was only $58 from service honda. splitting the cases is a head ache, i wouldn't bother if it runs good and the tranny shifts good. most importantly get a FACTORY manual off of ebay, it's a necessity. good luck!
