I have the engine not quite mounted, but I cant get it to shift into nuetral, any ideas? If I had too what should I take apart to get inside. Hopefully I wont have to resort to that.

But I tried hooking up the chain (engine isnt in anything perm. right now) and rocked it back and forth and still nada. It has hi/lo range. So what else? Without it in nuetral I cant try to get it going as it wont start.

125s had elect. start, and I think it must be like my 250sx where you cant start it unless its in nuetral. I cant really pushstart it, because its not fully hooked up. I need a sproket and the chain on it is not right.

Any other ideas of what to look for to get it switched into nuetral?

oh I thought Id mention that the shifter moves, and the nuetral indicater moves slightly, but just not enough to shift it.

You should be able to unhook the wire from the neutral indicator switch and ground it to the motor. This will make the neutral light come on, and allow the electic starter to be used with the motor in gear. Its not good news that it will not shift into neutral. IMHO you will have the shifter side off of the motor soon.

make sure the hi/low indicator is not stuck in between hi and low because it will not move...

sounds like the are isnt quite catching the shift drum enough...since it was shipd(red other post) i would suggest takin the clutch side cover off and push the shift arm back in...only takes like 5 mins of work :)
