View Full Version : cobra exhaust

my ytm200e needs a new muffler, i saw on the cobra website that there was one for a ytm225. I emailed them to see if it would fit on my 200, but they said they didnt know and to check with a dealer. so i did, they didnt know either.
does anyone know? i really need a muffler

I seriously doubt it would.The engine sits further back in the 200.

The Yamaha 200 uses a one piece exhaust were the 225 uses a 2 piece exhaust. The exhaust systems do not interchange. The only performance exhaust part I know of is for the 225 and that is just the muffler (cobra). You may be able to make something fit the 200 but you would either have to make a complete system or cut off your muffler.

no, u were right it is suppoesed to be a one piece. but on mine it is in two pieces. The muffler part isnt the original one either and it is just strapped to the fram with a hose clamp. Whoever had this bike before me must of cut the pipe. I guess i will have to go to a salvage yard and look for a decent stock one.

You can get a DG RCM pipe for the bike. Part no. 44-580, $104.00 from Dennis Kirk.
