Looks like a Tecate to me.

Here's what they say:

Way before we had the Quad ATV we had the more dangerous Trike ATV. Bastards! LOL

Yeah it could be, but it's definetley not an 83/84 model as those Tecates had the funky radiator on the handlebars set up. Maybe the t-shirt is a phony and not really from 83. Ooooh!!!

I need a history lesson here. I never heard of a trike fest outside of this site. Was there a lot of these or is this just another lame made up "old school" t-shirt?

Personally I think its a sham, whether they came up with the name trikefest on their own coincidently, or borrowed it from here I don't know. The T-shirt claims to be from 1983, when it clearly depicts an 86/87 model T3. I've never heard of trikefest from anywheres but here either. Well, I take that back. I've heard of a 3 wheeled bicycle "Trikfest" in new york city or some crap but thats not related to the subject at hand :p

Also, where esle have we heard "3 wheels are better than 4"? Looks like someone borrowed something from both sites to make that shirt.....

Ive got a question to think about. Why would they have said "3 wheels are better than 4" in 1983? Id like to know just exactly who was touting the advantages of quads over trikes in 1983. 3 wheelers were better than WHAT 4 wheelers in 1983?

Guys, I really respect all of you, especially TimSr and HondaATC, but i dont think the guy who designed this shirt gave a crap about the false message delivered by the shirt. I think he prolly just threw together a few things to make a good looking vintage style t-shirt. This guy maybe has been to this site, and prolly did do a little research, but im sure a lot of people buying this shirt havent ever seen a trike or heard of one. It's a lot like something that would be sold at American Eagle Or Abercrombie with a meaningless logo like "grannys apple bobbing contest, pick one pick em all" or something equally ludacris; sure its completely meaningless and very innacurate, but its a good looking t-shirt, and im sure there would be sore people out there complaining "They stole my slogan!" or "I bet they dont even know what apple bobbing is!" or something along those lines. Well anyways just my 2 cents I guess.

Hello,

As the owner of Vintageland, I came acrossed your site via my webs stats this morning. The shirt was made for the vintage t-shirt enthusiast not the trike enthusiast. The fact of the matter was that we already had a 1986 shirt so we decided to use the date 1983 instead. Our intentions were not to upset so many people as it appears we have done. There's not going to be more of these printed but if we did we'd probably change the date. Too bad people don't like trikes as much as you or I. The name Trikefest was just a name we came up with and after seeing the name here I can see why you guys might feel shammed but honestly its a coinsidence. It was interesting reading your reviews in this thread. This forum seems to be very educated in all matters trike and is a great resource for trike enthusiasts.

Well I never thought you guys were trying to pass it off as an original T-shirt in the first place myself, but leave it up to some of us trike enthusiasts and we will pick apart any discrepancies in anything thats trike related. lol
