the plastics should be white still trying to track those down the mods are a answer silencer i think a answer pipe(prolly a dg) reed spacers port and polish and boyseen rad valve. the forks are polished along with triples and the shock link to the swinger and then resivor the paint is candy apple red metalic paint with gold flake. should be interesting for the first test in the dirt. bouncing off the walls for this project!

well first of all i have never seen painted R forks and i polished the triples with aluminum polishing compound and my dads industrial polisher i did that whole job in about 3 hours forks included. the resivor for the shock was the hardest and the link from the shock to the swinger was pretty easy.

Gotta love the air-cooled R. You got alot done in a month, good job. Hey those forks and tripples turned out great. They must have been in awsome cond to clean up like that. Theres a factory clear-coat on the aluminum, plus we usually see alot of scatches and dings. I'm still working on grinding down the casting rib in the front of the lower clamp. Good luck and high wheelies.............Troll :D

it took my dad about a hour each fork with a industrial sander to get them to shine like that and then took about 30 minutes each to start polishing and then 10 or the fine polish the triples were hard to!
thanks for the compliments iam very happy on its turn out and when i get it put back together again *WIRE PROBLEMS* i will take pics and post

Love the flatblack motor, the frame looks even better though with that wicked gold flake in the red paint. My Tecate has been under construction for years but the past week I have started building, should be a roller by morning and as soon as I rebuild the bottom end I'll be done. Can't wait for tomorrow so I can push it around the driveway like a go-kart.
