Hey i have a 1986 KLT185, now i just rebuilt this motor, even had to put new valves in it. It ran ok for proably 10 hours after the rebuild, i have changes my oil every 6 hours, and even the gas filter. Now yesterday i doubel checked my spark, it was great. and checked the compression, it help 60psi for 4HOURS!
so i know my rings and gaskets and valve seats are all good. THE PROBLEM IS it cant be started without push starting it donw my street in 5th gear (it a 5-spd auto) or fully chokeing it and then letting the throttle down all the way and she might take off. When i am trying to pull start her, about the 4th pull i notice a little "smoke" or steam looking gas comming out of the carb. so i pulled the carb off and a whole lot more came out of the intake and the carb. WHATS GOING ON HERE! oh ya and the inside of the carb is wet with gas, like it flooding out. i am so confuesed. please help!
