What does everyone use on their 2 stroke exhaust were the head pipe and the silencer meet for a seal? I have tried many rubbers and it still leaks. I looked up the factory one for my Z and they want almost $50! Should i try some high temp silicone with the rubber? The silicone works great on the head pipe on the motor with no leaks.

50 bucks!! I just bought all the seals springs and all for a friends 85 Z and it was'nt more than 35 from bike bandit.I have used a silicone called ultra copper to seal most of my exhaust laeks. The stuff works well, and can withstand high heat.

Yeah I've seen those and thought about using one but right now I just put a little of high temp silicone with no leaks. Only prob is if u take of the silencer or pipe u have to clean and reapply everytime.
