I got a 1987 Warrior, all pimped out with the goodies, and its a fast reliable bike, i only been stuck in mud a few times, (I am talkin about 2 feet of mud) but, I would REALLY love to get an old school 250R, not a liquid, as I am an oldschooler (got the mullet to prove it too! lol) so, would I be crazy to sell the warrior and get try to find a 250R?? my parents will FLIP as they seen me ride my 200X a few times (OK, i had it on the front wheel a few times, it was purely accidental)
But, I say, I am 16, if I pay for it, I should be able to own it, right?

hey man my paretns dont want me havin my 185s im 15 lol..i paid for it and now there trying to take it away..lol not gonna happen but still..anyway i wouldnt do it unless trailprotrailpro sellin the warrior for a good enough price...yea old school air foolers are great but u can get 2 trikes out of the money you can get from the warrior..if u do it id suggest sellign the warrior for a higher price than u paid..not much more but like a few hundred give or take and then buy the r and somthin else or save the money to put into the r..that would be a good thing to do

If i sell the warrior, it will be about 2100 bucks, if i can get about an 83 or 84 250R (i really hate the front end on anything earlier, and i believe they only made the liquid cools in 85, 86, right? i am a little rusty with trikes  )
anyways, if i can find one in the local used bike trader or everything trade for a real good price in decent shape, then i will possibly buy it, if i can sell the warrior

When I was 16 I bought a bad to the bone 4x4 Pinto contraption. It was based on a 67 Bronco frame with a 351 C big block, full cage, fuel cell and numerous goodies...including a tilt front end with working regular hood someone fabricated out of the stock front clip!
Long story short, parents hated it and would not let me keep it at the house.
It really sucked, I got a ton of parking tickets and in the end it got trashed parked at my school over night. I still get mad twenty years later when I think about it.
A 250r is much smaller, so it will be easier to hide...good luck.

I would not hide it from them. No reason to, just discuss it with your parents for a while like I did when I first got my first trike. Which was a 85 250sx from Howdy. Be sure not to argue with them and youll be able to talk them into it. Everything will go much smoother them.

My dad bought me my trikes. He had no problem with it as long as i didnt wheelie it (and we all know how hard that is to resist). But now he won't buy me a 350x because it has "too much power." My advice get it and for like the first 2 weeks stay on 3 wheels around them after they know you can handle it they won't care.

My advice is see what your parents have to say.... And if you dont want to listen to them figure out how to pay your own rent.

When I was 15 my parents wouldn't let me have a street bike.I had to have one so I saved my money, bought a 78 honda 550 and hid it my neighbors barn for the next couple of years. My Dad kinda figured it out after awhile, every time I'd leave, he'd hear
the pipes ,before I walked back home he'd hear them again.Luckily he wasn't real friendly with the neighbor.

your 16, legally your parents cant do anything about what you want to do (where you wanna live, what you wanna get..etc) its your choice, not theirs, your old enough to know what you want. It's just do you want it bad enough to go against there wishes. Live your life by your rules.

Whoa, thats nuts, but so true
Anyways, I am just going to be hunting around for now, seein what i can find
And, picture this, i had this 1983 Tri moto 175, all tore to peices, 2 spare motors, the works, didnt run, had it running once, wheelie beast, then died on me, dropped a bolt into the crankcase (accidently) and then i sold it for 50 bucks to a wrecking yard, they sold it to some kid at my school for 200 bucks with new cables, and the spare motor,, needless to say, he got ripped of royally, now its tore to crap WAY more and i was going to buy the frame off him for 25 bucks (haha) and put in a Can Am 250 dirt bike engine, that would haul!!
but, I am still lookin for a 250R OR a TriZ (just realized how nice they actually are)
Curtis
Edit!!!
What about a dirt bike with a 3 wheeler swing arm? I can get a swing arm real cheap (bout 75 bucks) and a dirt bike that needs work for about 125 bucks)
I have some pics somehwere of someone doing it,.....

Tonight, my mom said (it wasnt related to trikes, something else) but she said, you old enough to make your own descions, so you make your own descion on it, I said: you sure? she said yes, and then I said, I am going to hold you to that, she said ok
So, I am off hunting for a trike now!!
WOO HOO
Curtis
EDIT!!
Found one, possibly!!
1985 Honda 250R
Ported, polished piped, needs plastics, light (not assembly, just the light itself) and tires are pretty bad, rear bearings are shot too
I am going to phone the guy up tommorow after work, see if he is interested in selling it or a trade on the warrior,
Do you think I could handle a bike like this? i mean, how fast are we talkin??
75 miles or more?
