Im going to get my 200x tommorow! YAY! :) Is there anything special to look out for.. I dont really trust the guy, which is kinda sad. Should i bring it to my honda shop and have them go through the motor. I dont know anything about 4 strokes, but a 2 stroke i could rebuild in like 1 hr. lol :TrikesOwn

well first off does he say it runs? some things to check are the ari filter, oil, gas tank(see if there is rust) look on the frame by where the chain goes by to make sure the chain hasnt rubbed the frame and wore it down, um....ride it if it runs and go threw all the gears to make sure it shifts good and thats about all i can think of for now. good luck man. any mods on this 200x or is it all stock?

Honda shops wont work on 3 wheelers and typically dont work on anything over 4/5 years old.....

but there is always a chance your local shop will...

you can jerk the motor and ask em..... :)

Check the kick starter to make sure it doesn't slip teeth. That was an issue on the 83-85 200X. Skipping one tooth is pretty standard casue the teeth are just seating, but if it skips like 3 or 4 teeth or drops to the floor then the ratchet spring is bad and not applying enough pressure to keep the kicker gear and primary gear together. Just something to look at and ask about.

Good luck, lets see pics

??? Is this new because I've seen 3-wheelers in a few different Honda shops being wrenched on within the last couple of years.

kicker gear, rear brake caliper, rust on tank, broken frame. these are things that always are broken with 200x's

Yeah the Honda shop here in Newnan,GA does regularly. They just rebuilt the topend on a 85 Big Red last week.

my AUTHORIZED dealer in a boston suburb works on them. just cuz yours doesn't, doesn't mean other AUTHORIZED dealers wont. They're like every other business, if you want to pay the time and money they'll work on it. It's not like they're contributing to your 3 wheeled death trap and it'll give them a bad name.

Im SOO pissed, the guy races microsprints with me, so he was supposed to bring it to the track right, well he pulls in with no 3 wheeler and a 1/2 full truck. I was like wheres the trike? he said i had no room to bring it! This is so gay. :(
