4need Shock For Rear.any Hot Set Up????

Trying to make a 250SX into something it wasn't meant to be.
I rode one the other day and MAN was it smooth and cushy.
The electric start, auto. clutch, shaft drive, reverse were fantastic.
BUT....trying to make it into a semi-race back is kind of a waste.

I HIGHLY agree with blazerone.

Maybe you could set the 250SX aside for pleasure riding THEN purchase a 350X to get your "fix" of the racy side?
I have an '85 350X and I can't empasize enough how nice it is to ride.
It's not a high-strung racing bike at all.
It's a big 4 stroke thumper that will chug through the woods all day and when you throttle it, it'll ALWAYS run away from any 250SX.
Yeah, I know it doesn't have all the "comforts" of the SX but it's FAR from hard to ride.

Cobra makes a pipe for the 250SX. I got a buddy that has one on his and it sounds awsome and gave it some more power.

200x front end
20inch rear tires
K&N filter(or clamp on if you dont drive in water)
oversized piston from www.wiseco.com
check out www.powroll.com for some stuff
Race cam,thats all I can think of.

thanks .thats cool.i really need a good sugestion on front tire .also want to rebuild shocks front and rear.i know this isnt a racer i just want it to lean that way.im sure someone out there has tricked one out.i bought this one from the original owner and he babyied it.i got it for 900 bucks it had a tear in theseat and front original tire sidewall cracked.

A buddy of mine has a nice 85 250sx, he's owned it since new, he's got a 42mm flatslide carb on it, filter, FMF exhaust, and he said it runs really good, i'm gonna see if he has any pics, he told me before that he had an sx, but i figured it was prolly a beater, but he was telling me more about it today, he says he can just give it a shot of gas and smoke the tires off on pavement, it runs like a top, i'll see if i can get some pics.

I doubt it. If I owned a 250sx I'd probably have bought it myself but no sense in hoarding parts for stuff you dont own.

For the front tire, I'm kinda partial to OEM tires when it comes to the front of trikes, so you'll probably need an Ohtsu (If thats what was standard on it, I can't remeber).

A 200X front end would be a good idea also (narrow tire, better suspension and disc brake).

Someone mentioned 20" rear tires, I have these on my SX and love them BUT they will slow you down some (smaller tires = more accelleration at the expense of top end)
