The girls and I did a fork rebuild and installed the 86 350x tree's yesterday. I used the guts out of the 84 R. with 330cc's of 20wt fork oil, talk about a huge difference. Stiffened the frontend up a bunch. And I gained a 1inch in travel too. If you have not done this to your 350x yet I recommend it! I took it for a spin tonight and it rides a ton better! :beer

NICE TRIKES!
I'm green with envy.
I had my forks done a month ago ($65, parts and labor).
You're right....
I GAINED an inch or so of travel and the bike is MUCH better to ride!!
Servicing your forks is HIGHLY Recommended for the old trikes!

200xman and myself both have the 84 250r guts in our 350x. i saw a huge difference!! love it a lot. all it cost us to do it was $20 bucks for used bent forks and new seals. i highly recommend it :Bounce

In a word, NO. You use the dampening rods out of 83-84 250r forks and the stock 350x springs. I put a 1" PVC spacer in mine to make up for the extra lenghth.
