I was wondering if it were possible to take a 200x bottem end and match it up to a 250es or 250sx jug so it would have 250cc? Anyone tried this before? Are there any other serious upgrades out there that I dont know about to make a 200x be faster than a regular 200x?..Thanks

I could be wrong but I don't think the 250es is 250 cc's. I think its really a 229 or 232 cc engine. Either way its more than the 200X. As for matching it up it seems like a long shot. I don't think it will work.

The only way to get power out of a 200X is big bore with a Weisco 12:1 piston, race cam, full exhaust, K&N air filter w/drilled airbox, run AV gas, NGK race plug and run 18" tires in the back. Also put the trike on a diet with a plastic tank, aluminum grab bar and handlebars and bail the tail light, head lgiht roll-bar, tool box or any thing that is not a necessity. You could also change out sprockets for more low end grunt.

Now all this will cost allot of money and will not make that big a difference. I know casue my 200X has some of thses things done to it. I would say keep it stock or sell it and get a 350X or 250R.

some guys put a xr200 engine in,you gain a 6 speed tranny, then you can get a performance exhuast,240cc big bore kit(stroked crank) and that would make a huge difference..
