I have seen a few sets of these tires that were a Honda race tire. I think they were made by Ohtsu. They have the same look and nobbies as the Dunlop Kt 577A. The KT 577 is the stock atc 250R tire. The stock tire size is 22/11/9. The tire I want to know about looks like it is an 18" tire. It looks exactly like the stock tire but smaller. There is a guy on ebay that is parting out a 250R that had a short track tank. He has the bike on there now selling the 250R seat. You could see them there. The item # for the seat he is selling is 2489246239. The tires are on the bike in the picture.

Can you post a link to the ebay auction?

Also have you tried searching the Ohtsu site for your tire?

Mike, I looked at the auction but couldnt tell much by the pictures, did you try emailing the seller and asking him about the tires?

Yes, I e-mailed him and looked on the Ohtsu site and the Dunlop site. I think that they were an optional flattrack tire. they look like stock but smaller. I want to put an 18" tire on my bike but want to keep the look of the stock tire.

I've seen the tires you are talking about on e-bay before. My guess is they were a flat track option.

Mike, I'm not sure but I'm going to guess those are 20's off of the trx250R's and that coupled with the mugen rear shock the ride height was changed and made the tires look like 18's. I'm not sure on that though.

Team Honda did have a set of I believe ohtsu tires for their race machines. They were "experimental" and not available to the public. The rears looked like the stock tires but were smaller and stiffer. They were shortly thereafter outlawed because not everybody could have them.

By the way, the stock size is 20x10x9 not 11.

OK I got the info on the tires. They are Ohtsu H-Trak model 12701. the size is 220/430/9. I looked at the Ohtsu site and they make a model 701 but 22' for the 350X and the 20" for the 250R.

Back from the dead... Only because pics were never posted.

I’ve had these for 25 years, most of that time they were in the loft of my dads “junk” garage, until yesterday, when I dug them out to use the wheels. Now I’m not sure what to do with them. I used them in the summer when it was dry and would ride trails at the hunt club. They helped to not tear up paths and were fun to goof off with, the compound is pretty hard and side walls are nearly the equivalent of a run flat tire. You can pitch these suckers out with a blip of the throttle.
