The problem is it seems that once it gets hot it dies. I can let it cool down and one pull its starts again, but once it gets hot it dies again. I swapped coils today but still the same thing.Any suggestions?? I'm open to anything. Thanks.

what does the spark plug look like?I would say that it is the coil or the petcock is clogged, try putting some new fuel line on and when you have the fuel line off try turning the gas on and see if you have anything coming out.

We put new fuel line on yesterday.........There is a good stream coming out. I'll check the plug.

seems to me i remember dry/black soot on the plug as a indicator of electrical problem ( weak spark ).
looking thru the trounble shooting guidlines in my clymers and honda manuals it's saying thats a possiblity too.
i don't know where i seen the 8 different types of plug fouling before and that was what i was trying to find as i leafed thru the manuals.
it also said to check for air leak after the carb ( intake side ) and also check timing. but what i'm reading kinda points to the c.d.i. or excitor coil.

Is there any way to test the CDI or coil?

as i was looking up specs for testing the coil i come across the page i had seen along time ago about plugs. there are 9 different types of fouling and it tells in detain the associated problems in logical order.
yours sounds to me like carbon fouled. identfied by dry fluffy carbon deposits. causes in order of most likely are (1) too cold of plug (2) weak ignition (3) dirty air filter (4) to rich of fuel mixture or excessive idling.
says plug can be cleaned ( go figure - lol )
anyway ,,, to test out a c.d.i. is the most major pain in the butt thing to do ( been there- done that ) ,,,, all readings are to infinity on the 14 - 15 check points. you are taking a multi tester and touching each one of the male prongs to each other ,,, it's a real pain in the arse.
now the good news ,,, coils are easy to check.
primary coil for your 185-s is 0.2 - 0.8 ohms
secondary coil is 8 - 15 K ( again ,,,, ohms or resistance value )
