Since the 200x fork will bolt up to a 250sx shouldn't this bolt up to my big red? any reliability issues?

I need to either get a new front fork or do some machine work So I figured I would just get a fork to provide some more handling.

put one on my 84 200es. measure the length of the down tube to see if any shims are required... mike

yep 250es. I see people doing this with the 250sx but am alittle concerned about the weight of the big red.

maybe a 350X front would be more at home on the big red?I am just wondering if it would make it a chopper though?(high in the front)

you can adjust the height of the trike by moving the fork in the tripples. and the defination of a chopper is adding rake to the front end. you have to "chop" the frame to rake it, hence the term "chopper".
