If I Sandblast and polish the bottom part of my 200x Forks, will they rust? I took a wire wheel to my clamps, and polished them with some Mother's and they look awesome. But does anyone know if I can do the same to my forks?
And also what kind of oil do I use in my forks, when i change the oil? do I have to use special fork oil?
thanks
Jon

Nope they won't rust, the sliders are aluminum. as far as oil, you can use tranny fluid, or go to the bike shop and get fork oil, they come in different weights like motor oil. 10 15 20

for changing your oil, the factory uses ATF in them and that is what the service manual says to use
