i saved a trike today!!

a farmer gave me his 85 250sx today!!he bought it new and just used it on a 60 acre farm,said its never been i mud,he tried to avoid getting wet.heres the lowdown, needs a tank ,gas goes out the rust holes as fast as pour it in!!, need a seat cover and foam, and little nickle dime stuff, i was able to get it started,but the carb has alot of trash in it (rust) and misses and sputters.only item missing is the tailight,i have the title, owners manual,tool kit in the bag,and three keys!! ill post pics tomorrow,too dark here

Make sure you change all of the fluids,carb., airbox,gear oil shock etc. Those that have been sitting awhile always have some suprises living in them somewhere :eek: :Evil

i can tell you all ,the man i got it from, said it was never in the shop,or had the oil changed...... :eek: but it does not leak a drop or use any,there isnt even a sign of missing paint on the motor where you boots normally rub!! as much as i always do to all the other "finds", i am not going to part this one out,already found some one who wants it, but after i play on it for awhile

lol the oils going to come out jet black and when you go to pour it out of the oil can after you drain it, it will be the same shape as the oil can. lol its alive ''jellow''

I miss my 86sx, boohoo! Throw a 200x frontend on, an 87 rear end gives it somemore get up and go too. I would have to say that sx's with a 200x frontend, make the best wheelie trike out there.

normally i clean them before pics,but i took it through some trails and she started to stutter, ill post more after i clean out the tank(to show how good a 125m tank fits) and show ya's that the only thing it needs is a seat cover and foam!!i have $9 in right now (oil and 38 pilot jet), also need a rear brake lever, which i have and havent put on

thats what it is, and fits and mounts up the same
