Since I own a banshee the first thing that comes to mind is:

Bottomless money pit, but a fast bottomless money pit!

I think why ol why didnt I take the blue pill! LOL

Yams dont do a thing for me. Everyone I have had or seen just needed to many things to keep it running in just an average condition. So I steer clear of them. :D

08-27-2004, 10:37 AM
Every part I ever needed I was able to find..Some at Yamaha..My bike runs well above average and there are a number of Quad and Dirt Bike parts that work on the Z as well...Just need to take the time to Cross them...Also helps to know someone who has had many Z's since new and has done all the crossing already

I think "Honda needs to share the spotlight" :D

Oh I allmost forgot. When I think of Yamaha I think of that feeling when you rip the throttle wide open and you get that *SWEET* *SWEET* Scream(2-stroke only), It is byfar the best 2-stroke Scream ever, You can tell because when I get back home everone is like "Damn you must have been Rippin!" even though I was a few miles away. Nothing in the world can beat that feeling(exept you know, hehe), and not even a Honda. My main rides are all 2-stroke, and you can see why I will never give up 2 strokes for 4.

Yamaha:TrikesOwn oh and 4-stroke Honda's and any T3!

MountainRider
08-27-2004, 12:47 PM
Definitely Tri-Z for me

TTribaLL
08-27-2004, 01:02 PM
I also think "Master of 2-stroke". Every Trike I had has been a 2-stroker Yamaha, I'll my friends and family all have four stroke's and they only dream of going as fast as I can :) Oh and they say I'm going to kill myself on the Z
and I allso ride ski-doo's all winter so 2-stroke all the way!

i think of bratty little retards who think they own the atv world because there mommy and daddy bought them a blaster

Yeah i get that to. Those newcomer's to the world of ATV's who just bought a new blaster allways have to brag that there quad is so fast, blasters suck, period.
:TrikesOwn

Edit: I tell them that because they think its the best machine on the face of this planet, and its *not*.

Lots_Of_Nothing

No I was implying how blasters are *not* the best machine ever, which is what they like to think.

Edit: Sry Blasters dont suck they just shouldn't be said that there in anyway better than a Z(which is what they all say until I show them what the Z can really do).

And i agree with TTRIBALL and 85atc250r i think Blasters plain out suck, and honda makes everything else better then them, yea the yfz might be faster but hey look whos gonna be spendin a wad of money at the repair shop

I think of HAM... Heres the story for that. I was riding a friends waverunner which was a yamaha. I trying to keep up with him in a boat, the water was verry rough so i was holding on for my life. The hand grips said yamaha on them and when i got off i looked at my hands and saw HAM. Thats how tight I was holding on.

RING-ADING-DING-ADING is what my RD400 says. Yamaha has a legendary 2-stroke heritage. In the 70's and 80's Yam was unstoppable.

I think of all those guys that bought a 2nd rate Z when comparing to a water cooled R! I like turning my head to see them eating my dust!

I guess when I think about YAMAHA, it's what it says to the Honda riders when you pass them, 'YOMAMA"

I think of how crappy mcgrath rode a yamaha

08-29-2004, 08:46 AM
I think R1, just casue i was going 232 on one the other day, and they are no where near the honda reliablitly but I am going to buy a craptor or YZF so i can race next year and have a good one at my track, I would buy honda but i want electric start, and reverse, but I will always have a 350x and 452x so when the yamaha breaks down i can still ride.

Well I really havent had many problems with YAMADAWGS I have a few of em
my old 78TT 500 is ole reliable ,had an old RD 350 back in the day had no problems with it other than it getting ripped off,my YTM 200 on the other hand ive had to replace the shifter shaft, now the clutch is out but that may be an error on my part from the shaft repair, parts are expensive when you can find em for the evo bikes (TT) but then again HONDA parts arent cheap either I guess what comes to mind when I hear YAMAHA is $$$$$ I will however in the near future hopefully get a TRI-Z but then again I want a TECATE ,HONDA 250R, TIGER,CAGIVA etc...etc...I will say this though when i hear the word HONDA I think reliability.maybe even bullit proof.
I have no 2 strokes now but back in the day (early and late 80s)when I raced however briefly that was 2 stroke reliability was a problem on my YZs all I have now are thumpers and havent worked on a 2 stroke since the 80s and I know im a much better mechanic now (far from an expert) than I was then and just cant wait untill I get another 2 stroke and really cant wait to compare TRI-Z to 250R,and TECATE for my self but there is no telling when I will be able to afford to get more trikes I cant afford to get a front end for my SX project now as it is .

I'm gonna have to go with a blue banshee. The Yamaha blue is an amazing colour, and the banshee, one of the most popular sport quads ever made.

i think crap, i had a yamaha piano that had half the keyboard stop working with in the first month, and no i didn't spill anything on it. Now i have a suzuki, that plays like a dream and has worked for a solid 7 years.

I think innovation - with the first real 4 stroke that won a supercross title. I also give them credit for a major color change that actually looked great. I also think Doug Henry and I give DH a big thumbs up for everything he has done and been through.

I think "Yamaha" is a word Honda riders see very often. It's hard to miss that word on a machine thats in front of you, going faster!!! :D :D Seriously, in my opinion...being a mechanic and all, Yamaha has proven to me their extreme strength and durability. I do have to admit that Honda made some very nice and durable machines in the PAST...but seem to have slid down the path of make 'em for less and sell for more...unlike Yamaha. Yamaha has taken over the industry as far as ATV and dirtbike racing goes, and I can see there are taking over the utility market, slowly, as well. Now, most of the people who diss Yamaha have never even owned one..or a Kawi or Suzuki. I have all four right now in my garage and can say I will never buy anything new except a Yamaha, but I will buy any other brand, used, just to simply fix up as a project.

I think of my old yz250 and what a blast it still is to ride, yes it does require more maintenance than my hondas, and it's worth it.

i think about all the honda riders that have left pissed off when i smoked em. and i think about all teh ATC250R riders that are gonna be pissed when MY TRI-Z kicks some major honda trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. and no yamaha's dont require any more maintenence. yeah banshees are kinda temremental. i know i own 3 of them. i cn teall youall bout yamaha's. as for hondas i only respect the ATC/TRX250R's and the 350X. other than taht they are crap. oh yeah i forgot to coolest ATC ever the sweet ATC70

Okay, you can't brag about beating someone when their vehicle isn't in the same class like "hell yeah, my 400ex SMOKED that blaster!!!" or "my t3 killed that 450r" oooh badasses haha. And something that has been pissing me off is when people say "The yfz 450 is always smoking the 450r" we all know the yfz 450 is better designed than the 450r but the yfz 450 and trx450r do not have a big enough difference to matter during mx races;we all know its skill and some of it is luck.
