Is this a good deal or Just ok deal?

Hey guys,

I was down in south Alabama today and spotted something that caught my Eye at 75mph. LOL. It was a 85 350X. I stoped and got to the bottom of it and this is the skinny. It was running 2months ago until something with the slide in the carb broke or something. He said it doesnt smoke, and the brakes work. Ok. For the bad. Header pipe is crap. Needs new header pipe. DG muffler is good. Also needs a front and rear fender assembly. The rightside footpeg, Complete seat assembly, Grab Bar, Thats about it. Tires are pretty new. Has alluminum wheels, and a Clark tank. He said it ran like a scalded ape two months ago. Guess he was riding without the seat, because all thats there is the pan. Headlight assembly is in great shape. Handlebars, forks, swingarm, axle, sprokets and chain all seem to be good. It will need a new throttle cable. Its pretty skint up/ cables showing thru. Anyway the guy said he would take 400 bucks. I about choked. I have never seen one this cheap until I saw the one that showed up on EBAY today. Its 500. I think I can get it looking and running good for 400 to 500 bucks on top of the purchase price. What do you think. Good deal or ok deal. Any Tips, pointers, or insight you can give me. The only thing thats got me wondering where in the hell I can find it, is the Header pipe. The rest Im sure I can land on Ebay and Hyperparts web site. Let me know

I would buy it and try to get it to run first, if it doesn't run and you can't figure it out you can always part it out and recoop your money or keep it and know you have a nice project. Sounds like a fair deal but I would still try to get it as cheap as possible but for $400 I bet it doesn't sit there long.

Hey, if you don't get it tell me where it is. I live in south west Alabama. Been looking for another project. What part of the state? West, central or east?

I would try to pour some gas into the carb/engine to see if it will turn over. Oh I have a complete set of blue plastic front (OEM), shrouds (oem), rear (maier) and seat with all the hardware for 200$ plus shipping. It is blue in color, been painted but no cracks and seat only has one small tear.

Hey Whiteman I will have to pass on telling you where this trike is located. LOL. SHES MINE. :D Hey Scott I might just be intrested in that set of plastic and seat. I will keep you posted. Send me a PM or email me. Hopefully I will have it early next week. As far as the carb goes, he said somthing about the throttle cable slide that has the 5 positions that you can adjust, and something about a pin is broken or keeps falling off that goes between the jets or beside the jets. He wasnt real clear.
