For an 84 $1200.00 is pushing it (IMO) but it a very clean 84. I guess to the right buyer it might be worth it. I'd offer $1000.00, you never know. I guess if I wanted an air cooled 250R $1,200.00 wouldnt be to bad.

Offer a grand for it. That is a very clean bike IMO and if i wanted it bad $1200 wouldn't be out of the question.

Theres one like it around my home for $1800 in CDN, and a 85 250r for $2300 about 4 hours away...trikes aren't cheap here.

The way you have to look at it is if you will be able to get your money out of your investment. That answer would be no. That sucker is super clean and worth it IMO but you wont be able to sell it to just anyone....mainly cuz they would be able to buy a waterpumper for that price. So if you planned on resaling it I wouldnt buy it.

So I should hold out and get an 85-87
I like the looks of an 85 much better but I want a nice original one and they get spendy.
water cooled is better? sorry if that sounds stupid,I am thinking no water maintinence,I am a mech. but fluids cost $.
I like the old school ring air cooled engines give off
I learned to ride on a 1974 elsinore250
THANKS FOR THE REPLIES.............

In my area, you can get a nice 85-86 for $1500, good luck finding an 87.

Waterpumper is a better trike cuz the engine is watercooled. Meaning you have alot less problems of it overheating at any time of its life. The waterpumper being the newer model is going to have much easier to find performance mods and most everything is still available at the dealers. They are faster than the air fooler and the suspension is much nicer.
