Hey,

Sorry no one has responded. More info would be needed for someone to help you. I would help ya, but I have never had one torn down. I have an 83 that I will be tearing down in a month or so, but until then I dont know

The jug or the head doesn't line up correctly?

Did you damage the dowel pin that lines up the head to the cylinder? If you bent the dowel,it won't slide on easy. How far will the head go down before it binds up?

the cylinder head . top goes down but the bottom dosent . does it matter where the dowel pin is at? mines on the top right.

there are two crank case dowels. Both go on the right side studs.( looking at the studs while sitting on the trike) Also if you removed the cylinder studs, you have "A" studs and "B" studs. put them back in their proper place.

I'm sorry, on the cylinder, the dowels are both on the right side(while sitting on trike). I was thinking of the head. sorry. Let me check my book on stud location, i'll be right back.

The "A" studs go on the left side(if looking at studs while sitting on the trike) which are the shorter studs. The "B" stud goes on the right side which are the longer studs. You can buy the studs from www.bikebandit.com for $5.44 each.

Go to www.bikebandit.com
click on OEM parts, they will prompt you to put in year, make, and model. Then click on oil pump crankcase or what ever you want to see and the schematic will pop up so you can see for yourself what goes where. Hope this helps! :D
