Good: My ignition still works. Pulled the plug and still has fire.
Bad: It still doesn't run. I have GOT to get a fuel filter.

Good: I just got a new pull rope. No more trying to start with an 18in rope.
Bad: I paid 16 bucks for 6 feet at dealer. Wallyworld has 50ft for 5 bucks.

You live and learn.

P.S. Here's the VIN. Can someone identify the tryke I have.

Honda J113TBO102DC316464

I am sure the vin number starts this way: JH3TB Your 11 should be a H. That shows me it's 1983 185s

Thanks Howdy. I thought it could be a "H". Worked on it some more today. Getting fuel through the carb and I see a spark in the plug but it acts like it isn't firing. Any ideas?

I'm a mechanic by trade and have been since I was 15. But let me be a little more specific. I am a heavy equipment mechanic. I am used to working on machines that weigh in at 48,000 + pounds and usually have engines that displace more than 700 cubic inches. I went to a friend with my ATC complaint and his answer was "yer plug is fouled." So now I feel like a bonehead. Not to mention, he was on the money.

What I need now is to figure out how to correctly adjust the carb.

start er up and let it idle if it does...then the little screw under the carb closest to the engine ..turn it a little either way and if it revs higher than its gettin richer but if it gets lower than its gettin leaner...i know it sounds like the idle screw but mine did that ..thats how i got mine goin rite..it was runnin way to rich and backfirin
