01 250ex problems

hello, we gotta 2001 250ex that is makin a tapping noise we rebuilt the topend, valves are set right, wrist pin and piston are ok and its still tapping after we rebuilt the topend....we can't find out where it is commin from....any help would be nice.

This is in the wrong forum, but I'd say its a stretched or out-of-adjustment cam chain.

cam chain is tight and the fourm said tech questions......so i think its in the right fourm
