What voltage should I be getting from the stator? I am getting no spark and all I get from the stator is about 3 volts max when I kick it over. Im guessing from past experience it should be well over 12. I have also tried turning the engine over faster by turning the rear wheel in 1st gear and still the same thing. I'm kinda at a loss right now as the guy I got it from put in a brand new stator. I am getting the same from both the lighting and the ignition windings. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

A better check is to check the ohms of the stator. I think this is a better test. My good stator showed about 400 on one of my yamha's. The bad one showed about 280. And yes, I think that you should get around 12 volts, but check the hm readings to be sure.
