Try starting in second gear if you don't already, my bike is geared low enuff where I don't need first but try it and see if it improves his time. Also I shift without the clutch and that shaves off a little time. No idea on any times here, we just race eachother.

from the looks of the pics i would try and sit a little farther front to help get the weight over the front tire to keep it planted. wheelying is not something you want to do during a race.

yeah we first tried to start in first gear the time was like 6.3-6.4 so i tell to try to start in second and it's how he can reach 6.1 so it's a big .2 gain lolll. but he didn't try to shift without the clutch yet will try this.

also forgot to mention that he need new valve seals cause it's smoke really bad so i think he lost a litle bit of performance there we will do all the head job and new rings maybe by next week or so to be ready for the end of august drag.

his head got also a little port and polish job of 7 years old so we'll just clean it well and gain a little more response and acceleration.

for the wheelying thing it's not a problem, he sit like this cause he can easely control his front wheel. he's mostly on the back to keep traction.

also forgot to mention that he got a +3 swing arm so it really help to keep the front wheel on the ground.

oh and btw the front wheel never leave the ground more than a foot.
but thx for the input anyway. :)

oh yeah last night my bro and one of my friend with a 2003 craptor were drag racing over 400ft.

both guy with there machine included weight the same thing (about 5 pounds different.)

i was really surprised when they started. 1st and second gear my bro take a trike lenght over the raptor then in 3-4-5th gear they are equal and when he shift his 6th gear the raptor passed him cause of it's better top speed (135kmh).

still haven't tryied the 300ft drag we just draw the line today. will keep you updated.

oh and my friend on his craptor didn't believed it, a 20yo trike beating is ass off the start line and maybe all the way long if it's a 300ft drag.

Yeah about that Raptor, you said your using 20 inch rears, well try 22's so you'll gain some top speed and maybe keep up to him for longer.

Im getting into the dyno here in a few weeks, then Ill know for sure. The ole stop watch and eyeballs aren't very accurate. Im not sure what Im running, and dont even have a guess. But here is a pic of us dragging at the last ride. We took a lot, but hardly any came out. I love the rooster tail Im throwing in this pic.
That is just at the end of 300ft. Me, then smokinwrench, and about 4 bike lengths behind him is a DS 650.

smokin made me line up way away from them cause I kept throwin sand on them every run.. lol What a wus!

on the clay drags in west vai run between a 3.9 - 4.5 with 20 grooved turf tamers ,of course that is an alky motor not gas!

the stock tri-z on the other hand(not my drag bike) with a pipe and 34mm carb, same tires and sprockets runs a 5.3 -5-8, thats without any port work ,but remember too i only weight 135,that is one reason im so fast at the drags is because most of the people i drag weight over 200lbs!!

need some head work now. that little beast drink 2 liters of oil for on tank full of gas.
so we'll do valve seal, cleaning the 7y/o port and polish job, new rings also on the way and a new chain cause my bro broke his last one last night

we'll be back to get new time next week-end cause he'll need to rode it a couple day before re starting to drag with those new ring.
