i was talking to my new neihbor and i had my r out and he had his trx250 and i was telling him how hard it was finding parts for the air cooled r. well he pulled out a 300r kit says right on the box for 83-84 250r. the only thing is the piston is broke, had fallen off of a shelf a couple years back. so i need a piston, have rings just need the piston. please help. all it cost me was a 12 pack. cant beat thgat deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck, if you find a piston, let me know. I have been looking for on. Wiseco don't make one. From what I can tell no on makes one.

Hey,,, I won a 300R Hondaline head on eBay last week for under $10!! Figure it;ll make a nice paper weight/conversation piece!

I got the cylinder and head, along with a head gasket. No pistons anywhere. So I guess i will have two paperweights.

today i tried just about everything but no luck. i even hit all the motorcycle salvage yards hoping to luck out, nothing.

What about honda did you talk to your dealer? Im sure it will cost alot but it would be worth it.

Honda dealer says none any where and they dont have any way to make one either. Wiseco will make them if you arder 24 at one time.

Try L.A. Sleeve. I think you can still get piston kits from then for the 300R kit.

You can still get them from Pro-X as well. L.A. sleeve pistons if I am not mistaken are just reboxed Pro-X's. THe downside is that you don't get a very wide selection of overbore sizes.

The last time i ordered from la sleeve, they sent me a pro-x piston kit in a pro-x box.

la-sleeve will resleeve the cylinder to work with a 330 kit fjor the water cooled R, same as CT Racing. Cost----around$500
