Best tire pressure...

I have an '87 250 es with the stock tires- 25X12X9 and I was wondering what the best p.s.i. to keep the tires at for riding offroad?? The owner's manual recommends around 2.5 p.s.i. for all 3 tires, but I find that to be too low for the front tire. The front tire says 22 p.s.i. max and the rears say 10 max, what do yall keep yours at? Thanks

It varies. Normally, I use 3.5 - 4 in the rear and 4-5 up front. If I'm going into the soft stuff (pure sand, mud, etc.) I'll drop 1 or 2 PSI on all tires for better traction.
