are all 200s's setup so when you press down on the shifter its an up shift? i got to ride a friends a while back and that was kind of odd. i also almost lost it because the brakes are the worst of anything ive ridden (just worn out) and we were at his lake property and its a very steep down hill back to the garage and the garage is sideways on the hill so it was a very radical off camber i ended up not being able to slow down enough to turn so i stalled it and pushed it over to the garage. I wana see what he wants for it because he really has no use for it.

maybe theres a way to change it because every fifty i've seen including Zs had an all up shift pattern

since 1985 all hondas use the up to up shift pattern. both my 83 and 84 atc 70s shift up when u push down but my 85 you have to pull up to up shift
his 200s must have been made before 85 or have had a pre-1985 bottom end

My 84 200es is down for the upshift. It messes me up when I switch between it and my 350x.

the one i rode was an 84. the 1 down then up is how all manual clutch bikes are.
