View Full Version : Changing oil on Big Red 250 ES

Hey guys, I've had my '87 Big Red for about a month now and it's about time to change the oil. Do you recommend the standard Honda 4 stroke oil or something else? I was just curious if yall used something else for your Big Reds or other trikes.....

i like to use honda oil. :beer it's not to expensive , around same price as a quality auto motor oil.

I run quaker state peak performance 10w30 in all my trikes.

I use Amsoil 10w40 for my 350X.

i'm sure you know this but just in case you might not ,,,, be sure to change the oil filter in you es also.

Oh ok, thanks for the feedback...I will probaly use the K&N oil fliter...I heard they were pretty good??

hi i also have 85' bigred 250es where is the oil filter i can only see air filter thanks

I use honda oil in all my atvs and when servicing others. Good oil for the price plus thats were I get my filters.
