I replaced BigRed's clutch and I am wondering if I am the only person to have so much trouble. Did Honda build the frame around the motor? Maybe my frame is out of alignment..The down tube has cracked and been welded by a Professional (I think) , maybe the motor is sitting lower than it should. Anyway I had to remove most of the engine mounting bolts and put a jack onder the motor to get a little more clearance. It is such a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro to get the cover around the centri. clutch and also line up with the kickstart shaft. Then the rear end of the cover begins to interfere with a engine mounting tab. Can I just beat this thing on with a hammer? Ha Ha! What's the trick?? It can't be this much of a pain in the arse. Well I just wanted to trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro for a minute , now I'll start looking for a large hammer.

Things finally worked out I removed one more mounting bolt to raise the motor a bit more and some how the dipstick got put back in while the sidecover was on the bench. The dipstick was interfering with some stuff inside making things harder. So, all is well.

Amen I thought I was gonna snap after a while. A little more patience and some delicate hits with a mallet and she runs fine!
