in a previous thread i was talking about how my 185s wouldn't start and a lot of you said my timing was off. so i checked it by taking out the peep hole for the flywheel and lining the line marked with an f in the center of the hole. after i had it lined up, i looked at the cam pick up sensor and saw that it was in the wrong position, the magnets in the sensor weren't lined up so unscrewed the plate that picks up revs of the peice on the end of the cam and lined it back up with it. i had to move it out of the space alloted for moving the timing, about a quarter turn
whats wrong??
Is the piston all the why up to TDC.
Is there a " T " on the rotor???

I had this same problem with my 200x. I finally checked the markings on the cam shaft and the chain had jumped a couple teeth. I guess what i am trying to say is to check and make sure your cam chain is tight and not worn out of specs. Just something to check. Also check dads idea and make sure piston is at TDC on the compression stroke. Good luck

Hey Clay, also remember that the crank spins twice as fast as the cam. Are you sure it wasn't 180 degrees off? Also, check you cam timing too. If that is off, then it will change your ignition timing.
