Did you read his post when he first got it? It wasn't exactly mint condition like the ones your talking about. His is in rough condition(from what he told us). Anyways,wannarace400ex, that was a rough estimate. You may be able to get more than that. Don't listen to this guy^^^. :beer

If you were going to sell your 250R would you start under a 1000? i doubt it..And it doesnt matter whats been done to it,would you let it go for under a grand?

That is why hes parting it out. He said its hard to get what you put into the back. And its hard to find people that will pay that much. His bike is also COMPLELY redone, wanna race400exs bike is not.Wannarace400ex also said that he is wanting a truck, so he is probably wanting to price it to sell. As I said before,THAT WAS A ROUGH ESTIMATE. Have a nice day sir. :)

i didnt say let it go for a grand or under it, i just said, dont go into the selling game all bigheaded and expecting a huge wad of cash. thats what scares people away, and equals in a unsold item.

My point exactly. Dude I don't know how much wannarace400exs bike is worth, its hard to tell without a pic. Buy the description he gave us, that was just a rough, very rough estimate.

If you plan on selling an 86 for $600 or even under 1k, That's a nice deal. It seems that all over the midwest, southern states, even back east, when I find people selling three wheelers; Tecates, yamaha or hondas alike, they sell for a HELL of Alot less then I have ever seen them sold around here in central Ca. Air cooled 250R's go for anywhere from 1200 to 2000, and they sell. Currently there is an 82R for sale at 1200, good cond. I have NEVER, I mean never seen an 85 or 86 sell for less than 1700 around here. 350X the lowest I have known anyone to ask is $1600 firm! I'm not kidding, even a 110 or a 90 sell for about 750-900 and people around here would rather not sell if you try and talk them down. Usually the bikes are in good or decent condition. I have not seen anything really mint in a while, last mint 86 I saw was about 2 years ago, sold for 2400. Of course one must consider the condition of the vehicle among other things, but seriously, around here people think three wheelers are worth more then high blue book! TRX 250R,s, 86 and 87's, they are always in the paper. Are they that great, because I have yet to see one go for under $4k around here. I have gone to see countless three wheeled ATV's that don't even run and the people still wan't top dollar. A non-runnig 79' 110 for $200, will take $175, thats the kind of deals you find here, no kidding. Tecate's are pretty much unheard of, the last one I saw was a red 84' for $2100 sold for 1900. I don't know the exact condition of your bike, however, a water cooled 86' around here would sell before you awaken at $600 running or not. If shipping wasn't such a hassle, and if travel distance was closer, I would go out of state back east or down south to buy a three wheelrer, or I would buy one from some of the people that advertise on the internet or on this site!

Low starting prices is what BRINGS the bidders. Thats why they also have "reserves".

well i gave $300 for my R and of course its a 82 model so its not worth near what the 85/86 is. Also i dont even know if it runs well yet as i havent got to ride it because it didnt have a fly wheel, which im waiting on in the mail, but i did get the motor to fire up with some one pulling me on another atv but no response due to no flywheel, i paid $300 and have already spent about $400 on wheels, exhaust, and a few other things i needed and will be spending another about $1000 before its done and i know ill never get that much out of it but im doing it for my satisfaction and pleasure. and by the way it was complete except for the flywheel and the guy i got it off of had just put new rear tires onit and a new stator and stator plate. also got a whole bottom end of a 82 R motor! its my first trike havent got to ride it yet and im already in love because i know what its capable of. :TrikesOwn :TrikesOwn :TrikesOwn :TrikesOwn :beer
