I recently finished a complete rebuild on an 84 200es (big red). I have gone through about 2 tanks of gas so I thought I would change oil, re-adjust cam chain and check the ignition timing with a light. I set it by lining up the lines on the pulser and the pick up with the "f" mark on the flywheel when I assembled the motor. My manual says I can hook the timing light up and shine it down the inspection hole yada yada yada.... Well, it doesn't say anything about oil slinging out of the hole while you are trying to do this! Does anyone know a "cleaner" way to do this? I know there has to be oil in that area for the starter gears but I would have thought Honda would have come up with a better answer than this! Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Bob
