Kick starting the 500X...I'm in bad bad shape. I can't even breathe without my whole back from my neck to my ass hurting. Had to happen on a fricken weekend when the chiropractor isn't open. I've got a package of frozen bacon on it now. I've pulled my back before but never this bad, it sucks.
In other news I now have a functional kill switch :D

I was just talking about that in chat last night heh. I need a flywheel and I can do it. I've got the side cover and the starter and all that happy crap. One thing I would have to do is modify the crank case breather tube to make it come out horizontially instead of vertically. Otherwise its right in the way of where the starter sits.

i flipped my blaster at 40 miles an hour and landed on my back. I had an awful pain for a week or two that would start in my lower back and shoot all the way down my leg so i know what its like man. Stay off the wheeler for a while and you'll heal. Hope ya get well quick man.

Yeah its a rough one to say the least. I've got real low bars on it (Their Renthals for an 80cc MX bike). So I was bendig way over and it kicked back on me while I was kind of in a bad posistion and I felt everything in my back go pop pop pop pop just like when you do your knuckles. I just about collapsed...

you might want to go to a orthopedict place billy and get x-ray'd . i'll tell you my story,,, year ago last spring i tweeked my back at work ,,,, gimped around for a week and ended up seeing the lady doctor under workmans comp. done the physical therapy thing-no help. lady doc said surgery was my only recourse ( screw that ! ). kept eating hadfulls of IBprofen daily and gimping around. i got talked into seeing a chiropractor ,,, he x-ray'd and worked me over but only felt better somewhat for a couple of hours. along about labor day night of last year i got a bunch of liquid courage in me ( as normal ) and decide to see what my x's tach light looked like at night. well of course i ended up doing donuts and took a good spill. okay,,, got this shoulder bone sticking straight up out of some where and the wife hauls me into e.r. next morning.
got some vicodon and told to go see the orthopedict people. not much they want to do to my shoulder ,,,, okay with that. wtf is up with the pain (like timex said) shooting down my leg ??? found i have a 1 cm ( or 10 mm) chip out of one disc + 3 blown others above and below. ended up with 2 cortisone shots to basically fix me up ( releives swelling and kills nearves )
still eat sevral ibprofens a day but no vicoden.
i shudder to imagine what might have happened if i didn't call it quits with the chiropractor ,,, tweeking me all about with the chip floating around and all,,, just waiting to get lodged up against the siatic nearve permently. his x-rays didn't show it and it had been there for long before i done my back work wrenching. back takes alot of abuse then says at some point in time that's it - pain big time !
get something that works on the cns like vicoden for now billy to releive your pain then to a real doctor.

Wow sounds like you had a real go of it John! I've been icing it real heavy. I was suppose to go with my dad and mow some property monday...I'll see how I'm feeling at the beginning of the week and go from there. I think I just really pulled (or pushed) things bad. I'll take your advice and try to get it X-rayed, better safe then sorry I suppose.

My Mom has pulled her back 2 times that have put her immobile in bed for several weeks at a time. She tries to lift stuff that she cant...and pop goes the back. The first time...she was taken to the hospital cause it was so bad. We got her home and she had to use a bed-pan...she couldnt get up to use the bathroom, eat, shower, work, ANYTHING!
This second time wasnt as bad...but it put her out of action for a couple weeks before she could manage the stairs again.
Billy, It sounds like you just pulled a few muscles...but you'd better go to the doctors just to be safe. I'm sorry to hear man...Best of wishes to you

Pretty good, Thanks for asking. I woke up this morning feeling good and had the attitude that I wanted to ride, so I called up Ric and I started riding with him and his cousin around 10:30 this morning till 6:30 this evening. A little after lunch It was hurting pretty bad and I thought I was gonna have to stop but I sucked it up and kept going and it actually feels pretty good now. Maybe I just needed to get things limbered up and moved around.
