Over a year ago i pulled the motor on my 85 200x. long story short, i purchased a different bottom end and just had the cylinder bored and a valve job done. This was a year ago and i'm just getting around to putting it back together now. I see the bottom end I have doesn't have a cam chain in it. Do I to totally disassemble the bottom end in order to put a chain on it? I have the chain from my other bottom end, but I REALLY dont want to have to split the cases if I dont have to!

Its been a while since i have had one apart but i believe you can remove the rotor stator on the left side of the case to thread the chain on the lower sprocket. You will need a bolt puller to remove the rotor they are about 10 bucks.
