can anyone tell me what these directions mean
''there must be at least.090 clearance betwwen the exhaust valve & and piston , and .060 for the intake valve''

and the bottem says

valve adjustment clearnaces

intake exhaust
cold.003 in cold.003 in
this is for a p/k racing cam which directions should i use

That is your piston to valve clearnce. This measurment will be taken inside the cylinder. I put a peice of playdoe on top of the piston about .060 thick and install the gasket and head and rotate the engine and disassemble the engine and inspect the playdoe. If the the valve contacted the playdoe measure how thick the playdoe is and see if it is within specs. What it means is when your valve is fully opened there should be .090 between the piston and exhaust valve and .060 between the piston and intake valve. You shouldn't have to worry about this measurment unless you are installing a combination of a stroker kit, high compression piston, or a high performance cam. The other measurment should be taken between the top of the valve stem and the rocker arm. You will have to purchase a feeler gauge set to take this measurment if you already havent.

Both. The first clearance is piston to valve and the second is rocker to cam.
