This little 1985 ATC 70 will not stay in gear. The motor runs fine. It jumps from being in gear to neutural and back. when it jumps out of gear I can turn the gear indicator thing that tells what gear it is in and it will put it back in gear. I pulled the right side engine case and clutch and where the shifter mechanism is at, at the top and rear of the motor there is a little arm and spring that attaches the gear shifter to the indicator. Something in those springs and arms and levers is the problem. My problem is I can't find a manual locally and dont want to order one and all that crap. Does anybody have a manual that they can scan me a picture of the inside of the right side of the motor behind the clutch and towards the top and rear of the right side of the engine. I am getting ready to push it behind the shed where it will be forgotten about and probably just rot away. Thanks in advance!

Thanks you are getting close. Take that whole cover off and out of the way so you can see the engine. now standing on the right side of the motor look up towards the top and to the rear. There is a shaft that goes through the motor to the left side that indicates which gear you are in with a little arrow. I need to see how all that connects inside the motor on the right side behind the clutch cover. Thanks. There are a couple little arms and a spring.
