I Need Help With A Clutch Question

I own a 1985 Honda 3 wheeler and my cluth went out so I bought the parts that I needed and the tool for it but it seems I can't get the nut off due to the fact that it turns and I can't lock it in so I can take it off , does anyone knows how to take the nut off? Thanks Gordy

You should be able to install a rag or something in the gears so it won't turn over. An old sock works well and doesn't leave any debris in the trans.

They make a tool to lock in the splines but I just take 1 friction and 1 steel plate (of the old ones) set them in place and tach weld them together in about six spots. Hang onto it and you will always have the tool. BTW if you don't have a welder you can use self tapping screws.
