Old School 110 racers...

I am thinking of building my 110 up like the ones drom back in the day, and I want to know if anybody has any pictures? I have removed the airbox, it has a clamp on filter, straight pipe, and a 40 tooth sprocket. Please don't post telling me to get a bigger bike, I want to build up this 110. Any modifiction ideas, are all welcome. I want to know what these 110s had to make them racers. thanx

They had a clutch kit, they were stroked, bored, New head, new crank, new frame, suspension, racing tires and wheels, and the list goes on... oil injection, and maybe a new carb, which would be a lot bigger, and a new intake tube (the metal thing that attaches the head and carb.)

take an xr 70 frame and take a trx 90 swinger and make it fit use the hole rear end off a trx 90 takethe xr 70 forks and make coustiom triple clampsus the 110 whele for the front.

for the motor take and have it bored out and get a cobra pipe, hi comp pistion, k&n air filter, nitrous and do some more stuff .

lol got a bad arse idea put a yzf 450r motor in there

put a cobra pipe on it it will cost $110 thats how much i payed for mine brand new or get a supertap the best pipe for 110s then get a k/n filter,bore it to the max put a racing cam in it i have a p/k racing cam [they dont make it anymore got it on ebay} get a 200x forks on it so you will have shocks in the front it will work because i have it on mine :cool:

Yeah i really loved to build this biek it was like mine that i raced in 79. But me and the boy have moved on to bigger and better bikes i just gotta get rid of it. Anyone with 450 coems and get it its yours.

I am looking at a supertrapp pipe from powroll. But it is for the trx 90. It looks like it would fit. Will it?

the trx doenst fit i tried but you have to bend it pretty bad and not worth it in the end. I found my on ebay I would just want to sell her. I would part her out and you can buy the parts off this one. I can tear her down and ship in box form me and wont be that much.

Theres not alot if any of the motor parts avaible anymore i got mine fomr a guy in texas i knew that worked at troy ohio honda deal that i grew up racing with but he lives in texas now and sold all his old parts.

i would sell the famre and keep the motor and pipe and on a later date build a full suspension tirke maybe a winter project. then i would sit it in my basement.

OK, thanks for the help. I could probably put a 125m piston in it instead of a big bore kit. My old school 110 project has begun! The headlight and tailight has been removed...more to come. :D

I have found all of my 1980 front end, and I ground the headlight brackets off to make more fot a number plate. More to come...

Does anyone remember the mystery swingarm I had sandblasted? Well, I was curious, and I found out it fit my 110 carrier. It was from an old ATC 90 racer with suspension. It also had a heavy duty axle and aluminum 40tooth sprocket on it. All of these parts fit my 110. I am going to e-mail the guy I got it from to see if he has the frame and front forks.

TrikeKid-The guy lives down here in Texas. I found out that I can use a ct70 dirtbike frame, and mount up my swingarm. :D

Motoman-I will buy that frame from you if my zinger top end sells. I too, need money for my project. Somebody please buy my top-end! :D

hond_atc- that is not the guy I am talking about. I actually don't know if the guy I bought my 110 from still has the frame or not. I will either buy the Bandito 2+ frame from motoman, or get a ct 70 frame for some suspension.
