I am wanting to rebuild the top end on my 225 dr. Does anyone know where to get aftermarket parts. I want high compressoin piston, timing chain, valves, and maybe cam. Thanks

Thanks for the links. I looked at all of them and only found a timing chain, I guess this must not be that popular of a engine to be hotrodding. I guess I'll have to go and talk to our Yamaha shop, I'd almost rather have a case of hemmoroids than talk to that S.O.B., the first thing he'll say to me is "you should junk out those 3 wheelers they are killers". We have a good relationship I hate that asshole and he knows it. Thanks for the help. Josh

The general rule of atv's is you dont "hotrod" a utility vehicle ;0)

Most good dealers and motorcycle/atv palces should have stuff for it. Ask 3wheelhouston, he found a .040 over high compression piston for his 225DX, and I've sen stuff listed for it in magazines. I thought I couldn't find any better price for bearings than the Smonda dealer, and I found decent bearings for $15.00 at a local motorcycle place. Your best bet is to call around and ask, or go the anyplace you know.
