need either the manual,or digital pics of the CORRECT way to route the OEM throttle cable,or a good dissciption of which side it goes on,and if it goes through the headlight/tripple tree piece,thanks!!!the oem cable is alot shorter than the trx 250r one ive been using,and binds when tuned sharp and revs to the moon!

I don't have any pics but i just looked at mine and the cable runs down in between the tripples and headlight housing and then down the left side of the frame in behind the left radiator shroud and then to the carb. Hope this helps. :) I dont know if that is the right way but that is the way mine is and works great.

Ive got the same set up...Twgrangers version is correct...What ya doing with the TRX Cable??? ;)

the trx cable is eight inches longer,and i used a 34mm carb,but went back to the stock one due to a bog i could never get out,maybe my k@n handlebars are too tall,but the eom one i just got is too short to go throught the headlight piece,i have to route it in front of the tripple tree to make it work,and even then,the cable is hard to push with the thumb due to the sharp bend!!i may go back to a trx cable because it was so much longer and easier to push,and without a bind.

That seems a bit odd.There shouldnt be a spot (if routed correctly) that there would be a kink..I dont have any problems with mine....Im gonna need the TRX cable for my other Z when I get it done....39mmPWK...The stock set up wont open it all the way up...Anyway, good luck with that..

the problem is the cable is not long enough to go between the headlight and tripple tree, if it did i would need five more inches to make it to the carb!!

Mine goes over the top Triple,down in front of it,then under and through...The junction box is located behind the left side shroud then down to the carb..

craig,mine should do that as well,my cable measures 44 inches long ,the trx cable was fifty!maybe the k&n bars are maybe taller or wider than what should be on there, i looked in bike bandit,and i have all the right oem parts back on there,this really has me puzzled!!i dont have a reed spacer so its not that and the aircleaner is a clamp on uni,so the airbox isnt in the way either,heres a pic of the bars,that was a stock thub throttle with the trx cable,and it went though the headlight piece
