Yesterday I mounted a Sony CD Player in the trunk of my Big Red. Am I being stupid??? I'll post some pics ASAP. Opinions??? By the way - it's not to listen to while riding, but rather while washing it or drinking a cold beveridge on the trails.

Like I said, It's in my trunk, so it's pretty much protected when I ride. Here's the pics:

I twisted the ACC and BATT leads together and tied them onto the positive terminal of the battery - likewise with the NEG and negative battery terminal. That way it keeps it's memory for radio stations. I just have to remember to turn it off or I'll drain my battery. Note the Car antenna on the back rack. I think it looks cool too.

That bigred is awsome and with the radio it seems even cooler.

Sweet! but my vote says it gets destroyed within 100 miles. Every thing we put in there gets all smashed up.

You know - being anal as in going too far - not like anal as in sodomy!!

what you should do is wrap it up in padding so it doesnt get all smashed up over bumps and such..

The CD Player is solidly mounted so that it won't get bounced around and all beat up. It's mounted just like it would be in the dash of a Jeep - and they get dusty, dirty, muddy and rained on all the time. Even if it gets ruined, it's my old head unit, so it's not much good to me sitting in a box in my closet. Might as well get some use out of it. Padding around it would do nothing because it's solid mounted. Descent sounding too:))
