No. Well, not with out some customization anyway.

There is no place to mount a caliper on the 84 fork legs. The 85 disc will interfere with the drum brake holder lug on the inside of the 84 fork leg.

Easiest way is to swap the whole front end.

I bought 84 forks off ebay not realizing the 84's didnt have disc mounts. I swapped the fork tubes from my 85 onto the 84 shafts and it works perfect. But I agree it would be easy to swap a whole front end because you would have to buy the front hub and find a decent front brake setup just to make it work even if you swapped the forks.
