i would keep the 200x. they are better than 2-strokes in the woods in my opinion.

well said eh tee see. i agree with trikerider too. tecates are fast and would do best on a drag strip or in sand. the 200x is an awesome trail bike.

i would keep the X for trails, the T-3 is to snappy for the woods.

my brother has a tecate and i used to have a x and id much rather ride that t-3 over my x. as long as you know how to ride a three wheeler the tecate will eat a x in the woods and on the open rode. another thing about the parts being limited,i know we never had trouble finding parts for the t-3.if trailprotrailpro a real man ride a 2 stroke its a whole different ball game.

The X would be better for the woods.

well it depends on the rider and type of trail. i used to ride my 250r with a guy that rode a 350x. i went up every steep, rutted hill that he did. i just had to go twice as fast!!!! i have rode my tecate in the woods and love it. if your tecate has a twist throttle i would swap it for a thumb throttle for trail ridding.

Comparing the 200x and tri Z I used to have in the woods brings up pro's and con's. I peronally liked the tri Z in the woods a lot, but you can't putt around with it like the X. It really depends if you can handle the power, if so go with the T-3.

I would pick the Tecate, some 20 inch Holeshot XCR's and maybe lower gearing to make it a little more usable in the tight woods. 22 inch tires would work well to keep you from hanging up on stumps and rocks.
The 200x you describe sounds good though and since you already have it with your hard earned cash in it maybe you should consider putting some more cash into it to improve its wood riding capabliities. Only con of the 200X is it is small for bigger riders and underpowered compared to the Tecate.

They both make fine trail rides. If you gear your two stroke down to where it should be for trail riding, and know how to keep it cleaned out, youll be just as happy with it as the 4 stroke.
....although I did read on here somewhere that 2 strokes were only good in the sand...!
