Found my Trike tell me if i got a good price

Im in central indiana so tris arent too common. But a found a 250r with a bunch of extra parts like tires i think a new clutch assembly and the guy is calling me tonight if he agress to sell it for 550 i think if i get it im gettn an insane deal but ive heard of 250s goin cheaper o its a 84 liquid cooled i realy like air cooled but beggars cant be choosers eh Anyway tell me what kind of deal i got :TrikesOwn

the deal sds good.. but whatz the rest of the bike like? bearings? brakes? swingarm? axle? plastic... a few years ago i "stole" a 84 r for $125.00 and the thg ran great.. i put new plastic on it.. and sold it for $900... but when you saw it w the dead plastic looked like crap,, but underneath was a gem.. so look the entire thg over.. sounds like a fine deal..

85-86 were the liquid cooled R's so if it is in deed a liquid cooled its going to be an 85. If not it will be air fooler. If its an 85 that will be a killer deal and if older then its still a good deal as long as its running and ready to roll..........peace

Ya...the '81-'84 250R's were air-cooled and the '85-'86 ('87') were Liquid cooled.

Either way...I think you got yourself a good deal

that may even be '88 ATC Crazy...but no matter what year it is that is a good deal

oh yea...just saw that this is your 1st post...welcome to the board. are you planning on going to tf 05 or the badlands ride in august or anything? they wont really be too far of a drive if you are in central IN.

Some company made a watercooled head, but as far as cooling the whole engien/cylinder, I dont belive so.

There was a company that made liquid cooling kits for the 81-84 R's i seen it in one of my dads old 3wheeling magazines so that could be it or you got the year off.
