Honestly I would look into a 185s for that. Its probably around the same price as a 110 but it will come with front suspension(later years) and could add rear to it with some customizing. But the added power from the 185 would be well worth it along with the gearing for the woods.............peace

Yeah, I was jokingly going to say to get a 200X. There's another guy on here wanting to build a tricked-out 110 too. That's fine if your purpose is to get the most out of a 110 for the principle of the thing, but it's the expensive and difficult way to get an every day rider.

A 200x would be a great bike for what you want. Or a 250sx with some Mudlite tires on the back and an exhaust system.

get a big red. if you prefer a smaller atc, then get an 82, 83, or 84 big red. they were only 200's in size. it wasn't until 85 that they up-scaled the big red to a 250 size. and if you're gonna get an 82, 83, or 84, my advice would be to get the 84, cuz it has reverse...good for backing out of tight situations that you may encounter in the woods. and the smaller 200 size (rather than a 250) may also help in fitting into tight situations that you may encounter in the woods. plus, the front and rear racks, electrical accessory terminal, and trailer hitch can only serve as added bonuses. try checking out:

No offence to anyone, :) but the guy said that he wanted to "create somthing special". Instead, he gets a bunch of responces telling him to buy somthing else. Trikes arn't getting any easyer to find, and I can only emagine how hard it is to find them in austrailia. I'll bet that little 110 probably turns alot of heads down there. I bet it would turn alot more if it KICKED trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro
I say, go for it, being happy with what you got is what its all about.
But on another note... I noticed that your profile says you already own a triz. Wazup wit dat?

OK. Skippy and others, you point is well taken. If you want to make something special from a 110, here's what I would do:
For the front I would add forks from a similar vintage CR 80 or XR 80 bike with custom triple clamps. I would keep the wide front end so it still resembles a 110. I would use a lower-profile knobby tire just to keep some of the bounce under control and let the forks work.
For the rear I would find an aftermarket frame with rear suspension or study photos enough to fabricate my own rear suspension. I'd use a single shock from probably the same bike as the forks. The choice of rear tires depends on the terrain but since you want a trail monster they will probably be aggressive and fairly tall. Chevron pattern tires of some sort might look cool.
Lastly, for the engine I would try to locate some of the aftermarket parts. They used to bore and stroke 110 engines to about 180cc so I know they were very peppy. This would give you a lot of performance in a very small package that still resembled the original 110.
These items, in my opinion, would make a 110 that was pretty special. Again, I'm basing this on the assumption that you want the finished trike to resemble the one you started with and not some stretched monster with a street bike engine.
Good luck :beer
