I want to get a billet double row bearing set up for my 85 350x. But the ones that I see are for the 1986? Has anyone put a new carrier on thier 85? If so what brand did you use. Any setup or mods need to be done?
Who makes the best for the 85?
Thanks in advance.

My understanding is that the only aftermarket 350X carriers are the 86 style. I believe you have to use a 86 rear sprocket and sprocket bolts.

Rad,magnum, lonestar and i think one or two more(can't remember) makes aftermarket carriers for the 350x.You can get double row or tapered. You do have to make adjustments on the rad and the magnum to make them fit.I believe the lonestar only makes one for the 86?(someone correct me if i'm wrong)On the rad(double row)you have to put washers or a thick snap ring in between the sprocket hub and the carrier so there is no rubbing, the tapered one is a different story i heard. With the magnum,a spacing problem too i heard but can't help you out there.
