YZ250 should work just fine Id think. 85-87 for sure, and probably clear through 89 or 90.

thanks man!!i thought that to,but they use a twist thottle, and the carb end is correct, but on the throttle end its 4 inches of exposed cable and there is no way to hold it in the thumb throttle!

I dunno Neil, the twist throttles usually have a different type of ball on the end compared to the thumbs, it might be ok though.

03 Orange Shee, Try looking "Terrycable" up on google or another search engine. I've bought quite a few cables from them with good luck, wish I had their phone number on hand so I could give it to you. Their located at in Cali.

I wasnt sure. Ive been inside some thumb throttles where they are just a twist throttle put on its side, so the cable is just as long. I have yet to tear apart a Z one, so I didnt know how they were made.
