Broken 350x Frame

I recently bought a 85' 350x and i was out jumpin about 3 days ago and when i landed i somehow broke a bar on the frame above my left footpeg in half! Now i'm gonna have to tear it down and get it welded, is this normal on 350x's? Oh and is tearing a trike down to the frame very hard or just time consuming?

I have repaired a few 350x fames in the same area. It only takes about 1/2 hour or so to fix. I repair these without stripping down the frame. The key is to be careful and take your time ( and have a good wire welder ). ;)

Well, i was wanting to strip it down and get the frame & swingarm powdercoated. Oh yeah one more thing, can you buy seat latches new from honda or would you have to find a used set?

hey dude best way to fix it is to take a pieces of pipe cut it donw the middle put it on the fram and the weld it together around the fram. we did that on my 200s fram and we have never had to re weld it.
